Why is ONS.org changing its website?

We redesigned our website to improve user experience, incorporate your feedback, and provide better access to resources and information. 

When is the ONS.org site launching?

The new ONS.org site will launch in late October/early November 2024.  

What new features can I expect?

  • User-Friendly Navigation: Our new layout makes it easier than ever to find the information you need, from the latest clinical tools and resources to volunteer opportunities, to upcoming learning events. 
  • Enhanced Search: A new search engine that better delivers the results you need with ease and efficiency 
  • High-Quality Clinical Content: Continued access to the highest quality evidence-based clinical content our customers have come to expect from ONS. 
  • Refreshed Look and Feel: Our logo and look and feel have been updated to continue to strengthen the ONS brand. 
  • Mobile Optimization: Access our content seamlessly from any device, anywhere, anytime. 

How do I navigate the new website?

There are multiple ways to navigate the site.  

Main Navigation

There are 5 high-level navigation sections on the new site.

  • Membership: Learn about all the benefits of ONS membership. Complete the member application to Join or Renew your ONS membership.
  • Clinical Tools: Access many of our evidence-based clinical tools to apply in your practice. Here you will find the following

Utility Navigation

Our utility navigation allows quick access to common activities users undertake via the “I Want To” feature, including:

  • Course login
  • Print NCPD certificates
  • Verify Provider Card or certificate status

Additionally, our utility navigation offers easy access to site login, view cart, donate and site search.

Footer  

The footer provides access to key content for all ONS customers. You can access self-service tools from the footer, as well as information about ONS.

Site Search

There is a robust site search available in the top utility navigation available on every page. You can search with free form text and filtering options across the entire site

I can't find a feature/resource that I used frequently. Where is it now?

We have reorganized some sections to make them more intuitive. Please check our site map or use the search function.  

What will happen to URLs that I have bookmarked?

Most links to ONS.org will continue to work. A smart redirect will automatically direct users from a previous link to a corresponding new page.

What if a URL that I have bookmarked does not have a corresponding new page?

If a page does not have a replacement or alternative piece of content, a “Page Not Found” notice will appear.

Is the website mobile-friendly?

Yes, the redesigned website is optimized for use on all devices, including smartphones and tablets. 

How can I provide feedback on the new design?

Are my login credentials the same on the new site?

Yes, your existing login credentials will work on the redesigned website. If you encounter any issues, please use the "Forgot Password" feature or contact help@ons.org

Who can I contact if I have further questions about ONS.org?

You can email us at help@ons.org with any questions you may have. 

Will the ONS website be unavailable for purchases and course login at any time during the launch of the new site?

No. We do not anticipate any downtime that would interrupt purchases and course login. 

Will course extensions be given during the relaunch?

No. ONS will not allow course extensions as we anticipate no downtime during the launch our new site.


Organizational Sales Support

Is the process for purchasing bulk orders for organizations changing?

No, the process for organizational purchases is not changing.  

You can access the organizations landing page from the “I Want To” utility navigation.  

New customers can contact ONS Sales to learn more about products available for group purchase by emailing sales@ons.org or completing the form on the organizations landing page.  

Current customers can contact the Help Center for Organizations to request additional orders for group purchase or support. 

How do I contact a sales representative?

You can access the organizations landing page from the “I Want To” utility nav and complete the form available from this page or email sales@ons.org

How do I find information on bulk/volume purchasing for my organization?

The organizations landing page is easily accessible from the “I Want To” utility navigation. The organizations landing page highlights all that ONS offers for organizational purchasing.  Here you will find access to our Speak to a Sales Representative form, as well as our current customer self-service portal.

Will legacy content be updated with the new logo/look and feel?

No, we will not update legacy content branding.

Can we have access to the new ONS logo art files?

The new logo files will be available in January 2025 for external parties.
