Cognitive behavioral interventions are designed to reflect concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy, which examine the associations among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Cognitive behavioral interventions do not involve full cognitive behavioral psychotherapy; however, they do assist patients in identifying negative or unhelpful thoughts and beliefs so they can be altered.
