Job Title: Research Associate
Department: Research

The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is seeking a full time Nursing Research Associate.  The successful candidate needs to have interest, enthusiasm and knowledge about evidence-based nursing practice, nursing research and quality improvement. The person in this position will manage a wide variety of projects and be an active member of a dynamic and innovative team and work environment. The work entails closely working with professional nurse volunteers across the country via the phone and internet to facilitate and implement the evidence-based practice, research and quality initiatives of the Oncology Nursing Society, a professional nursing organization of over 37,000 members.

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a masters degree in nursing (preferred) or health related field. Doctorate or doctoral work in nursing or health related field also preferred.
  • Experience in evidence-based practice and nursing research
  • Experience with nursing quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience with survey development and analysis
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage projects and data, problem solve, communicate effectively (oral and written).

Department: Research

The Research Associate will manage a wide variety of projects facilitating and implementing the evidence-based practice, research and quality initiatives of the Oncology Nursing Society. The successful candidate will be an active member of a dynamic and innovative team and work environment and needs to have interest, enthusiasm and knowledge about evidence-based nursing practice, nursing research and quality improvement. Job Title: Project Manager
Department: ONSEdge

ONSEdge is seeking a Project Manager to plan, direct, coordinate and delegate activities for projects to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within contractual timeframes and budgetary guidelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising administrative staff and advising clients to ensure accomplishment of project objectives as well as coordinate project activities with activities of regulatory and other governmental agencies. Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Department: Education

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Education Team, assisting the Director of Education and Project Managers in administering and developing ONS educational projects and programs. Primary duties for this position include: writing and responding to correspondence and telephone inquiries; preparing reports and formatting slide presentations; providing customer support for ONS web courses and upload systems; completing and verifying financial transactions; entering and verifying data to ensure accuracy for CNE credit; processing course credentialing applications for the ONS Approver Unit; managing the registration process for education offerings; and creating/maintaining all Provider/Approver Unit files and project files.

Candidates for this position should possess the following:

  • Be self-directed, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and professional telephone etiquette
  • Demonstrate process-oriented thinking with application to software usage, filing, and project assistance
  • Demonstrate ability to draft and edit grammatically correct communications, minutes, and general correspondence independently
  • Demonstrate proficiency with email, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and an ability to learn new software
