Innovative Approaches to Taxane Therapy; New Options for Metastatic Breast Cancer
The purpose of this regional program is to educate oncology nurses and other healthcare professionals about epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and care of the patient with metastatic breast cancer and the trendsetting treatments using nanotechnology.  A peripheral neuropathy assessment tool is provided.

Control of CINV: Sparking Change in Your Practice
CINV remains one of the most distressing symptoms that patients report following chemotherapy.  Even with the advances of antiemetics over the years, CINV remains a significant problem and needs to be better controlled.  This regional program, worth 1.0 CNE credits,  will provide you with an overview of the physiological mechanisms of CINV and the traditional and novel therapies for prevention and control.  In addition, you will learn about the current evidence-based interventions for CINV and how to integrate these into your daily practice to achieve the overall goal of maximizing the control of CINV.  This program is designed for the oncology nurse with an interest in learning about the complex components of CINV and evidence-based treatments available to manage CINV and improve patient outcomes.
