- What website do I use to access ONS online courses?
-
After you have registered for an ONS online course and have received your confirmation letter from ONS, visit http://courses.ons.org/ to log in and access your course.
- I forgot my Profile username or password. Where can I get it?
-
If you have forgotten your Profile username or password, go to https://profile.ons.org/ForgotPassword.aspx. You will need to provide your email address, customer ID, or your username to have this information sent to your email.
- Will I need any additional downloads or plug-ins to take an ONS online course?
-
Many ONS online courses take advantage of technologies that require the use of downloadable components and plug-ins. It is recommended that you have the latest version of the following components installed on every computer you will use to access your course. Installation of these components may require assistance from your IT department at your place of business.
- How can I make sure the browser I am using will function correctly with the course?
-
For the best course experience, please use the latest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer with Javascript enabled.
- Do I need to enable pop-up windows in my browser?
-
ONS online courses take advantage of pop-up windows as a powerful way to deliver content in an organized fashion. You must have pop-up windows enabled or certain parts of your course will not function properly. Chats that students must participate in for certain courses require the use of pop-up windows to work properly.
If you have any questions about enabling pop-ups for the purposes of using ONS online courses, please contact your IT department or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
- I'm having trouble getting into a course chat. What can I do?
-
Some ONS online courses use the Chat feature to allow students to discuss course information in real time. In some courses, chats are required to complete the course. You must have pop-up windows enabled for this features to function properly.
To see the chat will function on the computers with which you will access this course, visit the Chat link in your course menu and click Launch Chat Window.
If you are participating in a chat scheduled after 5:00 pm Eastern time, it is highly recommended that you test the chat during business hours so that you can resolve any issues prior to beginning the chat.
- How do I earn CNE credit for my course?
-
Please consult your individual course requirements for information regarding a successful completion of your course.
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, including submission of the course evaluation via the ONS Evaluation Center, your CNE certificate will be listed on the My Evaluations page of the Evaluation Center where you can print it or export the CNE credit to your ONC-PRO log.
- Where do I find my Course Evaluation?
-
Completion and submission of the course evaluation in the ONS Evaluation Center is required to earn CNE in all ONS online courses.
A link to the course evaluation will be found under the Lessons link, in a lesson titled Course Evaluation.
To access the evaluation, you will be required to log in to the ONS Evaluation Center using your Profile username and password. After you complete and submit the course evaluation, your CNE certificate will be available on the My Evaluations page of the Evaluation Center.
Important Note:
ONS collects program evaluation data from all program participants. ONS only awards CNE certificates to those who have successfully completed all course requirements. It is important to note that in the event you have not successfully completed all course requirements, CNE affiliated with this course will not be earned. A Provider Card for the Chemotherapy Renewal course will not be issued without CNE credit. Refer to the overview lesson and/or the course syllabus for a list of requirements.
- What does Certificate Pending mean?
-
Once the evaluation is completed in the ONS Evaluation Center, the certificate column will indicate “Certificate Pending”. Certificates cannot be printed while in pending mode. After the course closes, ONS Education staff will review all course requirements and notify successful participants that her/his CNE certificate is available for printing in the ONS Evaluation Center. ONS will not mail CNE certificates.
After courses are closed, if the certificate column in the ONS Evaluation Center indicates “Unavailable” next to your course title, all course requirements have not been met. You will therefore not receive CNE credit (or the ONS Provider Card for Chemotherapy Renewal courses).
- I'm clicking on an audio file and can't hear anything. What can I do?
-

Make sure that your computer volume is not set to "mute" and that your speakers or headphones are properly connected. Please contact the IT department at your institution if you have questions about your computer's ability to play audio files.
