Be a Peer Reviewer

Are you interested in maximizing your contributions to oncology nursing with a manageable time commitment?

We invite you to join the Oncology Nursing Forum (ONF) Review Board to participate in the important work of maintaining the high publishing standards of this premier oncology nursing journal. Reviewers are needed for all topic areas and from all educational levels, especially those who are doctorally prepared. Experienced reviewers, members new to reviewing, and associate members with specific expertise are most welcome. Having instituted electronic peer review and expanded the size and scope of the review board, as a reviewer, you would be

• Provided with an orientation package that explains the process of reviewing a manuscript
• Chosen to review manuscripts pertaining only to your specific topic areas of expertise
• Asked to review a maximum of three manuscripts per year, unless you indicate an interest in more reviews
• Queried in advance regarding availability/willingness to review a particular manuscript
• Provided with feedback regarding each manuscript's review from the editor and the two other reviewers to help develop writing and reviewing skills
• Expected to have computer access because all reviews are processed online via ONF Manuscript Central
• Invited to yearly activities at Congress.
