Document Delivery

Article copies can be provided to ONS members and non-members in several ways.

Interlibrary Loan

Requests can be submitted by other libraries through DOCLINE (the LIBID of the ONS Library is "PAUONS"), ALA forms, fax, or phone. This is the preferred option. Requestors should check with their local library services.

Single Copies of Journal Articles

After local library resources have been exhausted, the ONS Library and Archives can provide single copies of articles for individual research use only. These copies are provided under the "fair use" provision of the copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code). More information under Journal Article Copy Services.

Multiple Copies of Journal Articles and Publications

Requestors should contact publishers directly for multiple copies or commercial reprints (in the case of the ONS publications, see Permission Requests).
