Letters of Intent due: November 9, 2009
Applications due: December 9, 2009
Purpose: A major goal of the ONS Foundation is to provide funding to support the ONS Research Agenda. The agenda's focus is on areas where gaps exist in the knowledge base for oncology nursing practice. The 2009-2013 ONS Research Agenda identifies that a gap exists between available evidence and current practice.
Applications are invited for research grants to develop, test and evaluate system- and clinician-related factors which impact the clinical application of evidence-based interventions and patient outcomes.
Award: One $50,000 grant award with a funding period of up to two years is available. Funding will be available by March 2010.
Eligibility: The principal investigator must be actively involved in some aspect of cancer patient care, education, or research. Funding preference is given to projects that involve nurses in the design and conduct of the research activity. Membership in ONS is not required for eligibility.
